Playing with digital illustration, quite different to my norm! I think that's why I love Illo Friday - you can mess about and experiment with your usual style, with a random topic, and share with friendly internet folk.

Illo Friday - Beginnings

You know when life throws punches at you over and over and you realise perhaps, I need to do something different?

I drew this for a pal as she faces some new beginnings (and some major endings) after facing quite a few punches over the last few years. You can duck and weave, but sometimes you have to hop off the course and try something completely beautifully new.

One beginning we are going to do together is meditation class. That shall be grand. The rest, she will be doing on her own, and it will be hard I'm sure. But transformative, as all change is.

Mona - Hobart and General Visual and Foodie Fun

WOWOWOWWWw I just got back from 3 lovely days in Hobart... Small city of fresh air, fine art, good coffee, cheap delicious food and... MONA! Which blew my brain. How exciting that there are people in the world willing to invest their millions into a vision like the Museum of Old and New Art - so much inspiration, it felt like a celebration of life and art and humanity. These words won't capture it, and neither will a few photos from my phone, but check out some better coverage here and here.

Bologna Children's Bookfair

I just returned today from Italy... and I am jetlagged, so jetlagged I took the wrong luggage home and gave a poor Finnish tourist a bad start to their journey.

However, Italy and Bologna were simply amazing! The food, the town, and the busiest week of my life at the fair. Back to back meetings, followed by dinners and work work work - it went by in a sleepless blur, but I was so lucky to be there. Here are a few schnaps from the amazing week!
